Catching Up

The past few days have not been too exciting to write about but I'll do my best not to bore you to death :) Friday I went to the Melbourne Aquarium with two friends and it was not worth the price to get in. The only fun park were the sharks but even then the tank was pretty small. We then went out for happy hour drinks on the river and it was a fabulous restaurant with the best meat plate I've ever eaten yum yum yum. This past Saturday a group of girls (mix of americans/other international students) went to the city to celebrate one of the American girls birthday! We had a taco dinner at Moniques and then went to a night club in downtown Melbourne. It was a very good time and needless to say we all pretty much slept sunday away. I also found a tutor job in the past week and will be tutoring an 11 year old boy in English for two hours a week (for 50 bucks yaaaaa buddy!) Got to love that Australian minimum wage is 20 plus dollars. I also entered my blog into this website for a blogging job and was accepted and will get around 10 bucks a blog as long as I get 1000 views. When I get that sorted out I will post the webpage so you can all help rack up my views!
Classes started Monday, but lucky for me I only have class Tuesday-Friday so I had one extra day of summer vacation. For now my lectures are extremely boring (and each are 2 hours-want to talk about a snooze fest) but at least all my professors are australian so i can zone out with australian accents in the background! It is also very interesting sitting in a lecture class of 300 plus, because at Rhodes my biggest class is probably around 30 people maximum.
Funny side note: My crime professor only brought up examples of American crimes in class so she either hates America and thinks were a country full of murderers and such or Australia really is the safest country in the world and she couldn't bore us with the petty crimes they have.

Cheers! (as all my professors say when ended class)
